How to install and configure DHCP Server in Windows Server 2022

How install DHCP Server ON Server 2022
Log In: Make sure you are logged in to your Windows Server 2022 machine with administrative privileges.
Access the Start Menu: Click on the Windows Start button or press the Windows key on your keyboard.
Open Server Manager: In the Start Menu, you can either:
Start typing "Server Manager" in the search bar, and it should appear in the search results. Click on it.
2. Accessing Add Roles and Features
Click on Manage and click on Add Roles and Features
3. Before you Begin
Click on Next on Before you Begin page
4. Select installation type
Select Role based or feature-based installation and click on Next
5. Select destination server
Select the server and click on next
6. Select server roles
Select DHCP Server in the list of roles and click on Add Features and then click Next
7. Add features that are required for DHCP Server?
Click Next on the Add Features section
8. Select features
Click Next on the Add Features section
9. DHCP Server
Click Next on DHCP Server section
10. Confirm installation selections
Click Install
11. Installation progress
When the installation finishes, you will see a yellow escalation mark beside the flag. Click on that

How to configure DHCP
1. Launch the Server Manager
Start typing "Server Manager" in the search bar, and it should appear in the search results. Click on it.
2. Access DHCP Server
Click on Tools and select DHCP
3. Open DHCP Server
Once the DHCP console opens, verify you are connected to your server and expand it
4. Access IPv4
Left click the arrow pointing to the right and it will drop down as show in example highlighted.
5. IPv4 New Scope
Right Click on IPv4 and select New Scope
6. New Scope Wizard
New Scope Wizard will pop up, click on Next on the initial setup page
7. Scope Name
Give a Name and Description for the scope and click Next
8. IP Address Range
Enter the Start IP Address and End IP Address (For my Test network I have chosen 192.168.24.1-200, your network my differ)
In the second section, enter the Subnet Mask and click Next
9. Add Exclusins and Delay
If you need an IP excluded, enter the specific IP or range in order for that IP to be excluded and click next
10. Lease Duration
Lease Duration, enter the duration for scope lease when IP is distributed by the server. Default is 1 day.
11. Configure DHCP Options
Click on Yes, I want to configure these option now to configure Default Gateway, DNS Server and click next
12. Router (Default Gateway)
Default Gateway – enter the IP Address and click on Add and then Next
Note: Your Default Gateway may vary depending on your network.
13. Domain Name and DNS Servers
Domain Name and DNS Server – In Parent domain, enter the name of your domain. Under IP address enter all the DNS Server IP in your name and click on Add and click on Next
14. WINS Servers
WINS, enter the IP address of WINS server if its in your network and then click Next
15. Activate Scope
Select Yes, I want to activate this scope now and click Next and then click on Finish
16. Completing the New Scope Wizard
Click Finish
17.Authorize DHCP Server
Right click on your server and select Authorize
Right click again on your server and select Refresh
Now under IPv4, you will see the scope running now
